Week 5

Idea #5: Art is a good excuse to go to fun places

Me and my dad go to the Earvin “Magic” Johnson Park located at 905 E El Segundo Blvd on Saturday, February 22, 2020.
After taking a walk I see geese grazing on the grass as it begins to rain at Earvin “Magic” Johnson Park located at 905 E El Segundo Blvd on Saturday, February 22, 2020.
Going back home while it is pouring around the Los Angeles area on Saturday, February 22, 2020.
My dad parked the car on the side because the weather made the windshield fog up while we were still in the Los Angeles area on Saturday, February 22, 2020.
As we were waiting for the windshield to clear it started hailing and so I opened the window to stick my hand and I caught a piece of hail around the Los Angeles area on Saturday, February 22, 2020.
After arriving home I went to the canal near my house and missed the hail that happened in my neighborhood at Compton on Saturday, February 22, 2020.
After being in my house for a little bit I decided to go to the Compton Courthouse during the sunset at 200 W Compton Blvd on Saturday, February 22, 2020.

I chose this story because I wanted to show what I usually see or go to when I have enough free time to go walking around at Compton.

I think that I did pretty good job even though that the whole hail thing with the rain was an unplanned thing.

I think that my last image is the individually “best” image in my story because it shows the Compton statue and the Compton Courthouse under a cloudy sky that is clearing up as it turns into a night sky.

The image in my photo story that I think is not a “great” image but is important in telling my story is the one where I caught a piece of hail because the rain and hail played a part for my storytelling.

What I would do differently is to make earlier plans in where I should go but instead I relied on my dad to show me places that were and are part of Compton because I never knew that there were more places that were unknown in Compton until my dad showed me.

I don’t think that there are other photo stories that I would like to tell but if it was like a hobby or a thing to pass time then I would be willing to do it again.
